Viewing status information for your account

To view status information for your account, follow these steps:

1. Log in to cPanel
   If you do not know how to log in to your cPanel account, please see this article.
2. In the right column of the cPanel home screen, locate the GENERAL INFORMATION heading:

   

   This section shows your username, primary domain name, and other basic information.
3. To view additional information about your account, click Server Information in the GENERAL INFORMATION section:

   

   The Server Information page shows you information about your hosting account, IP address, software version numbers (including the cPanel version), and other features.
4. In the right column of the cPanel home screen, locate the STATISTICS heading:

   

   The STATISTICS column displays information about CPU and memory usage, bandwidth transfer, and more.

There are two ways to log in to a cPanel account:

1. Access cPanel through the Pro 4 Hosting Customer Portal. This is the preferred method, because you can access cPanel without having to remember a special URL or domain name.
2. Access cPanel directly.

Method #1: Access cPanel through the Pro 4 Hosting Customer Portal

1. Log in to the Customer Portal
   If you do not know how to log in to the Customer Portal, please see this article.

2. On the menu bar, click SERVICES, and then click MY SERVICES:

   

3. Under My Products & Services, locate your hosting package, and then click on it:

   

4. Expand the Actions sidebar and click Login to cPanel:

   

   In a separate window, the Customer Portal automatically logs you in to your cPanel account.

Method #2: Access cPanel directly

To log in to cPanel directly, follow these steps:

1. In your web browser, type the cPanel address for your web site. The address is either http://www.exampledomain.com:2082 or https://www.exampledomain.com:2083, where exampledomain.com is your domain name.
   Alternatively, you can use one of the following addresses:

   1. http://cpanel.exampledomain.com or http://www.exampledomain.com/cpanel, where exampledomain.com represents your domain name.
   2. To access cPanel without using your domain name, you can use https://server.pro4hosting.ro:2083, where server represents the server name for your account. For information about how to determine your account’s server name, please see this article.

   The cPanel login page appears:

   

2. In the Username text box, type your Pro 4 Hosting account username.
   If you do not know your cPanel username and password, you can view them in the Pro 4 Hosting Customer Portal. For information about how to do this, please see this article.

3. In the Password text box, type your Pro 4 Hosting account password.
4. Click Log in. When you enter the correct username and password, the cPanel home screen appears.

Logging out of CPanel

You should log out whenever you have finished using cPanel, because this notifies the web server that you have finished your session. If you do not log out, the server automatically closes your session after a set period of time. However, there is a small possibility that an attacker could exploit the open connection before this automatic logout occurs.

To log out of cPanel, follow these steps:

1. In the top-right corner, click LOGOUT:

In short, if you want to configure your web site, fix a problem, or are just curious and want to learn more about web hosting at Pro 4 Hosting, the Knowledge Base is a good place to start.

Navigating the Knowledge Base

You might want to do a quick search and go straight to the information you’re looking for. On the other hand, sometimes you might want to browse and see all the articles for a particular topic. Either way, we’ve got you covered.

Searching

If you’re in a hurry and just want to find the most relevant articles to your question or issue, the search box is always there. On the Knowledge Base front page at https://www.pro4hosting.ro/knowledge-base/, it’s probably one of the first things you’ll notice. On other pages, the search bar is always there near the top, waiting for your inquiries.

• Related Articles: Many articles contain a Related Articles section. These are other articles within the Pro 4 Hosting Knowledge Base that are related to the current article’s topic.

In addition to the sections described above, the Knowledge Base uses several visual elements to highlight information and help guide you through an article:

• Text that describes specific user interface elements is in bold. For example: On the Settings page, click Update.
• Text input that you type on the keyboard appears in a separate, monospaced font. For example: Type yes in the text box.
• There are also several highlighted areas that provide additional information:
